National park Biogradska Gora is situated in the central part of mountain massif Bjelalasica, between Tara and Lima river. The park consists of numerous forests and water surfaces. There are 6 lakes in the park area, among which the greatest is the Lake Biograd.

Lake Skadar — also called Lake Scutari, Lake Shkodër and Lake Shkodra — lies on the border of Albania and Montenegro, and is the largest lake in Southern Europe. It is named after the city of Shkodër in northern Albania. It is a karst lake.

Morača is a river in Montenegro. It originates in northern Montenegro, under Rzača mountain. It generally flows southwards for some 113 km (70 mi), before emptying into Lake Skadar. In its northern part, the Morača is a fast mountain river, and has cut a canyon north of Podgorica.

Nature Parks and Picnic Area Almost in the city center, Gorica is a popular picnic and recreational paradise. There are arranged hiking, biking and fitness trails.
